It Started With One Nudge
The origin story of Sacred Radiance
It's the end of my retreat in May 2025 in Tulum and I'm sitting alone in my room, integrating, and the tears are falling. I finished the retreat. I moved through the challenges, the beautiful parts, and here I am... one step closer to my big vision.
It all started with just one nudge that put me at a crossroads.
January 2024. I had already run my Todos Santos retreat in 2023 and I was contemplating a Tulum retreat. I knew I could do it, but I kept sitting with the same question over and over.
While I was visiting, I got approached to be the lead kundalini teacher at someone else's retreat in Tulum. At first it felt like the easy thing to do. Show up, teach, no heavy lifting on my end, and I'd get the cool points of saying I taught in one of my favorite places in the world. But it wasn't my retreat. It wasn't my vision or my community.
This was a test from the universe. Take the easy way out and fulfill someone else's dream, or host my own and fulfill mine.
So I decided to test the universe back (because that's what a stubborn Taurus does lol). I messaged a friend who managed a villa on the beach and asked, hey, can I host a retreat here and collab with you guys?
He said of course. The next morning I was biking to the hotel to drop off a deposit.
That same week my friend in Tulum helped me with content for the retreat, and I followed my dream all the way into making Sacred Radiance real.
It took one nudge from the universe and one action on my side.
I will forever be grateful for that moment, because now I'm heading into my 3rd year in Tulum (4th international retreat, 12th retreat in total), and I trust the universe to keep bringing the right people to this.
I'm sharing this because this is how manifestation actually works when you tune into your intuition.
When you receive a nudge and you find yourself at a crossroads, ask yourself:
Which path gets me closer to my dream?
Will I be sacrificing my growth if I follow it, or feeding it?
Does one path feel easy? If so, is it easy because it's aligned, or because it's familiar and keeps me small?
Does one path feel scary? If so, remember that expansion can feel frightening. When you give yourself permission to move forward, the fear turns into courage.
Then ask: what's one action I can take to follow my dream?
Just one small action. A message, like the one I sent. It doesn't have to be huge.
And then keep building on it. Manifestations are built from your own strength and your own vision.
Go out there and take one small action this week. I promise you, it won't feel scary on the other side of it.
