5 signs you're ready to invest in your healing

There’s one idea about healing that I’d love to change: the belief that we have to wait until we’re completely burned out, going through a breakup, or watching our lives fall apart before we finally choose to do something for ourselves.

Healing doesn’t always have to begin in a moment of crisis.

Sometimes, it begins with a quieter realization: something inside you is asking for more attention.

Here are five signs that, in my experience, may mean you’re ready to invest more deeply in yourself, your time, your energy, and your resources.

1. Your life works, but it no longer feels completely like yours

This may be one of the hardest signs to recognize because, technically, everything can be fine.

You have a routine. You meet your responsibilities. Maybe you’ve even accomplished many of the things you once wanted.

And yet, there’s a sense of disconnection you can’t quite explain.

Sometimes this happens because we’ve spent so much time responding to what life needs from us that we’ve stopped asking what we need from life.

What do I want now? What has changed in me? What am I doing because I genuinely choose it, and what am I doing simply because it’s what I’ve always done?

You don’t necessarily need to quit your job, end a relationship, or change your entire life.

You may simply need enough distance from your usual routine to see it clearly again.

And that is one of the reasons I believe so deeply in creating intentional spaces outside of our everyday lives.

2. You keep running into the same pattern, even though you already recognize it

Understanding something intellectually and learning how to respond differently are two very different processes.

You may already know where a pattern comes from. You may be able to name it. You may even understand why you do what you do. And still find yourself repeating it.

That’s why my work has never been focused only on talking about transformation.

I’m equally interested in creating experiences that allow us to encounter ourselves differently.

Through practices such as Kundalini Yoga, meditation, sound healing, and ritual, we create moments where we can observe ourselves outside of our usual reactions and automatic responses.

Because sometimes, we don’t need more information.

We need to experience ourselves in a different way.

3. Rest is no longer fixing the kind of tired you feel

More sleep can help with physical exhaustion. A free weekend can help. A vacation can help, too. But there is another kind of exhaustion that doesn’t always disappear after eight hours of sleep. It’s the exhaustion of constantly being available. Of making decisions. Of anticipating what everyone else needs. Of always feeling like there is something you should be doing. Of having twenty conversations running through your mind even when you finally have a moment to rest.

At that point, I think the question stops being simply: How can I rest more?

And becomes: What is taking so much of my energy in the first place?

A retreat can’t answer that question for you. But it can give you something your daily routine may not be giving you: enough time and space to actually hear the answer.

4. You’ve started wanting something you can’t fully explain yet

You may not know exactly what you’re looking for. You just know that continuing to do exactly what you’ve been doing doesn’t feel like the answer either.

I’ve learned to respect that feeling. Not because every impulse needs to become an immediate decision, but because curiosity can also be information.

Sometimes we wait for a huge, undeniable sign telling us that we’re ready. But the sign may simply be this: you’ve already started wondering what else might be possible for you.

That question matters. It often appears before the clarity does.

5. The idea of investing in yourself makes you a little uncomfortable

This deserves an honest conversation. A retreat costs money.

It also requires time away from work, family, a partner, routines, or other responsibilities. And I think we should talk about that without pretending otherwise.

I would never tell a woman to compromise her financial stability in order to attend a retreat. Investing in your well-being should also be a responsible decision.

But if you do have the ability to make that investment and still feel a huge amount of resistance, it may be worth asking where that resistance is coming from. Many women have no problem spending money, time, and energy on what other people need.

But when it comes to themselves, guilt appears.Do I really need this?

Should I spend that money on something more practical? Can I really take five days for myself?

Maybe the answer is that this isn’t your moment. And that’s okay.

But it’s also possible that you’ve been waiting for years to finally have enough time, enough money, enough certainty, or enough permission. And that perfect moment rarely arrives.

To me, investing in your well-being means deciding that your inner world deserves resources, too.

Time. Attention. Education. Experiences. Rest. Support. That investment might look like therapy. It might mean starting a practice.

Changing your habits. Traveling. Working with a mentor. And yes, it may also mean attending a retreat.

What matters most isn’t simply how much an experience costs.

The deeper question is: What is the intention behind your investment and what will you do with what you discover afterward?

Why I Created Sacred Radiance

Sacred Radiance was created for women who aren’t necessarily trying to escape their lives.

It’s for women who want enough space to find themselves within their lives again.

For five days in Tulum, we temporarily step outside the pace and demands of everyday life and create an environment where you can slow down, reconnect, and listen more deeply.

Throughout the experience, we explore practices including Kundalini Yoga, meditation, sound healing, and traditional Mayan rituals.

You’ll have space to connect with other women. You do not need to have all the answers before giving yourself the space to find them.

Sometimes, creating the space is where the process begins.
