The Radiant Beauty Series: Elevating Your Glow with Gua Sha

Welcome to the Radiant Beauty Series! ✨ This is where I share my favorite natural and holistic beauty practices that help me glow from within! I’ve been asked a ton about what I do to have glowing healthy skin and it’s now time to start sharing all of my rituals.

It wasn’t always like this… from the age of 2 of I’ve had skin challenges and I truly believe that’s when my own body dysmorphia started. I am happy to say that I’m in such a better spot now in my life and I’m here to bring you not only tools to radiate from the outside but also feel radiant from the inside. I’ll share more about my journey in a later blog but for now.. let’s get into it!

Today, we're starting with one of my absolute essentials: Gua Sha. More than just a beauty ritual, Gua Sha is an ancient practice with deep healing properties that can enhance both your skin and overall well-being.

What is Gua Sha?

Gua Sha is a traditional Chinese medicine technique that involves gently scraping a smooth-edged tool over the skin to promote circulation, relieve tension, and support lymphatic drainage. It has been used for centuries to enhance skin vitality and encourage the body’s natural detoxification process.

The High-Energy Difference

Not all tools are created equal! When choosing a Gua Sha tool, the energy of the material matters. Crystals like jade, rose quartz, or amethyst hold vibrational frequencies that amplify the effects of the practice. Here’s how they can enhance your experience:

  • Jade: Known for its cooling effect and ability to promote harmony and balance.

  • Rose Quartz: The stone of love and self-care, perfect for softening tension and inviting more compassion into your skincare ritual.

  • Amethyst: A high-vibrational stone that calms inflammation and helps balance the skin’s energy field.

I buy high quality products to be able to keep them for a long time and also just connect to their frequency.

Pairing these high-energy tools with organic facial oils or serums that align with your skin’s needs can further elevate the ritual, making it a deeply nourishing self-care moment.

What do I use? I make my own facial spray and oil but I recommend using a Rose Facial Spray and Almond Oil. Trust me, simplicity helps you radiate! I’ll be back with beauty recipes soon, I promise!

The Benefits of Gua Sha for Skin & Energy

Beyond its beautifying effects, Gua Sha offers a range of wellness benefits:

🌿 Supports Lymphatic Drainage – Helps flush out toxins, reduce puffiness, and brighten your complexion.
🌟 Enhances Circulation – Increases blood flow for a natural, healthy glow.
💆‍♀️ Relieves Tension – Releases muscle tightness, especially in the jaw and forehead.
Boosts Energy & Relaxation – Encourages the flow of Qi (life force energy), leaving you feeling revitalized and balanced.

How to Incorporate Gua Sha into Your Routine

For best results, practice Gua Sha consistently with intention. Here’s a simple ritual to follow:

  1. Start with a Clean Face – Wash your face and apply a facial oil to allow the tool to glide smoothly.

  2. Use a facial spray first, then some facial oil

  3. Use Gentle, Upward Strokes – Begin at the neck and move upwards, using light pressure.

  4. Focus on Key Areas – Pay extra attention to the jawline, cheekbones, and under-eye area.

  5. Breathe & Set an Intention – Use this time as a mindful self-care moment, inhaling deeply and exhaling stress away.

Try doing this in the morning facing the sunshine - it's an beauty ritual like no other!

Radiate from Within

Gua Sha is more than a beauty trend—it’s a powerful tool for self-care, relaxation, and energy alignment. By choosing high-vibe tools and infusing your practice with intention, you’ll notice not just a transformation in your skin but in how you feel overall.
